About Museum of Bad Art

The Museum of Bad Art started in 1993 and collects "art too bad to be ignored," much of it donated or found at yard sales, thrift stores and in the trash. Its first piece, Lucy in the Field with Flowers, was pulled from a Boston curb. The collection tops 700 works, with 25 to 35 on view at a time. Since 2022 the gallery hangs in the Dorchester Brewing taproom, where admission is free; no one under 21 is admitted after 6 in the evening on Fridays and Saturdays.
