Why you should go…

Olympic covers 922,650 acres of the Olympic Peninsula, from glaciated mountains to temperate rain forest and a 60-mile strip of rugged Pacific coast. You can walk the Hoh Rainforest, which gets more than 12 feet of precipitation a year, explore the wild beaches, or visit Lake Crescent, Ozette Lake and Lake Quinault. Mount Olympus rises to 7,965 feet. About 95 percent of the park is designated wilderness, and it is a World Heritage Site.
