Quechee Gorge is a 165-foot-deep chasm cut by the Ottauquechee River, the deepest gorge in Vermont. You can look down from the US Route 4 bridge or follow the Quechee Gorge Trail to reach the gorge. It sits inside Quechee State Park, which has a picnic area beside the gorge plus tent and RV sites, cabins and lean-tos. The river below holds brook, rainbow and brown trout and is a popular whitewater kayak run.
