About Riverchase Galleria

Riverchase Galleria opened in 1986 in Hoover, south of Birmingham, and the official site calls it the largest enclosed shopping center in Alabama. The mall covers about 1.4 million square feet with more than 150 stores, anchored by Macy's, JCPenney, Von Maur and Belk. Dave & Buster's and a food court are inside, and a 15-story Hyatt Regency hotel and an office tower are attached. The owner was preparing to list the property for sale in 2026, and the city is studying redevelopment.
