Samoa Cookhouse claims to be the last surviving cookhouse from California's logging camp era, feeding mill workers on this site since the 1890s. Meals still arrive family-style at long tables set with checkered cloths, with no menu to choose from beyond the day's offering. An attached logging museum fills out the visit with saws, photos and camp memorabilia.
