Shikellamy State Park sits where the North and West branches of the Susquehanna River join, and it comes in two separate sections. The 190-acre Overlook Section stands on a 360-foot cliff in Union County with three scenic overlooks, hiking trails and picnic pavilions. The 50-acre Marina Section on the tip of Packers Island in Sunbury has a marina, two boat launches and paved riverside paths. The park is named for Shikellamy, an 18th-century Iroquois leader whose village stood nearby. Entry is free.
