Shreveport Aquarium is a 21,000-square-foot aquarium on the bank of the Red River in downtown Shreveport, which opened in 2017. It holds seven galleries with more than 300 species, including sharks, stingrays, eels and Louisiana wetland animals such as alligators. Visitors can hand-feed stingrays, visit touch tanks, and pan for gold and gems at an indoor mining sluice.
