Ark-La-Tex is the border region where northwest Louisiana meets East Texas, centered on Shreveport-Bossier City and reaching into the Texas cities of Longview, Tyler, Kilgore, Lindale, and Henderson, plus DeSoto Parish around Mansfield, Louisiana. The region sits within the Piney Woods, a forest belt that spans the four-state Ark-La-Tex. Shreveport venues include the Shreveport Aquarium and the glass-blowing studio High Gravity Glassworks, while Tyler is home to the Tyler Rose Museum.
