521 N Main St · Tonopah, NV
Why you should go…
The Clown Motel is a 31-room roadside motel in Tonopah that opened in 1985 and has been called America's scariest motel. Its clown museum holds more than 6,500 clowns, according to the motel, and every room has clown art on the walls. Several rooms carry horror film themes, including the IT Room, the Exorcist Room and the Halloween Room. The historic Tonopah Cemetery sits right next door, where the owner built a gazebo for guests.

General stay guidance
Habits that pay off across this whole category, not rules for this one venue. Always check the official site for the specifics.
Rates swing with the calendar
Midweek nights and shoulder-season dates are usually the kindest on price.
Read what is included
Parking, resort fees, and breakfast are the three extras that most often land on the final bill.
Ask at booking, not at the desk
Early check-in, late checkout, and room preferences go further when you request them in advance.
On a short trip, location wins
What you can reach on foot from the door matters more than the amenities list.
