Victoria Butterfly Gardens is a 12,000-square-foot indoor tropical habitat on Benvenuto Avenue in Brentwood Bay, minutes from Butchart Gardens and about 20 km north of downtown Victoria. Visitors walk among thousands of butterflies from up to 70 species alongside free-flying tropical birds, flamingos, iguanas, tortoises, poison dart frogs, koi and an insectarium, set among waterfalls and tropical and carnivorous plants. Most visits take 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Open daily year-round except Christmas Day, with longer hours in summer.
