About Westfarms

Westfarms opened in 1974 on New Britain Avenue in West Hartford, near the I-84 and Route 9 junction, and Simon Property Group now owns it. The two-floor mall covers about 1.27 million square feet with roughly 150 stores, anchored by Nordstrom, Macy's and JCPenney. Jordan's Furniture opened in the former Lord & Taylor space in 2023. Unlike many malls it has no central food court, so restaurants sit in their own storefronts.
