Why You Should Go...

Completed in 1915, Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is the former home of F.A. Seiberling (co-founder of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.) and his family. The Seiberling family lived at Stan Hywet for 40 years; in 1957

Akron’s oldest historic landmark, the 64,500 sq. ft. Manor House is one of the finest examples of Tudor Revival architecture in America, and the sixth-largest home in the U.S. open to the public. The estate also includes 70 acres of historic gardens and grounds, the Corbin Conservatory, the Gate Lodge,  as well as the Carriage House — where guests may enjoy a snack or buy a memento in Molly’s Shop & Café.

Stan Hywet is open April – December, Tuesday-Sunday with special events and exhibits that change seasonally.

Above the Manor House entryway, the crest bearing the motto Non Nobis Solum (Not for Us Alone), welcomes guests as warmly today as it did more than a century ago. Visit www.Stanhywet.org for more information.
