15 miles south of I-40 Exit 102 · Acoma Pueblo, NM
Acoma Pueblo, known as Sky City, sits on top of a sandstone mesa about 365 feet high, and the Acoma date the village to the 11th century. Visits start at the Sky City Cultural Center and Haak'u Museum at the base, where guided tours leave every hour. On top you see about 300 adobe buildings and the San Esteban del Rey Mission, built between 1629 and 1641. The pueblo closes for cultural events, and cameras are not allowed on feast days.

Habits that pay off across this whole category, not rules for this one venue. Always check the official site for the specifics.
The forecast is part of the ticket
Haze, low cloud, and rain flatten a view. Clear-day visits are worth rearranging your plans for.
Golden hour sells out first
Sunset slots at observation decks and cruises are the first to go, so book those further ahead.
Dress a layer warmer
It is always breezier up high and out on the water than it feels at street level.
Timed entry is common
Plenty of landmarks release tickets in windows rather than at the door, so check before you walk over.
