Anza-Borrego is the largest state park in California, a desert of palm groves, cacti and wide vistas spread across 12 wilderness areas. You can hike, drive or bike some 500 miles of dirt roads, look for bighorn sheep, golden eagles and kit foxes, and come for the wildflower bloom. The visitor center in Borrego Springs is built underground, a 200 yard walk from the flagpole. The park is also a designated International Dark Sky Park.
