About Barksdale Global Power Museum

The museum sits on an active Air Force base and traces the history of strategic bombing, from the home of the 2nd Bomb Wing and the 8th Air Force. It stresses both wartime achievements and the long peacetime training that aimed to deter conflict. Visitors can see World War II aircraft, Cold War bombers, and a SR-71 Blackbird, along with a B-1B in the airpark. Ten exhibit galleries are housed inside.
