Why you should go…
Bourbon Street runs the length of the French Quarter and is New Orleans' best-known nightlife strip, lined with bars, daiquiri shops, and live music clubs. Louisiana's open-container law lets visitors carry drinks from bar to bar in plastic go-cups, and the street closes to traffic most nights. It is loudest and most crowded after dark on weekends and during major festivals.
