About New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum

The New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum has occupied a small space on Dumaine Street between Bourbon and Royal since 1972, when Charles Gandolfo, known as Voodoo Charlie, began collecting. Its two rooms hold altars where visitors leave offerings, a kneeling board said to have belonged to Marie Laveau, Haitian sequined Vodou flags and work by local artists. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for seniors, military and students, and the gift shop is free to enter. The museum also runs daily Voodoo walking tours to Congo Square and Marie Laveau sites; book a day ahead.
