About Calvert Marine Museum

The Calvert Marine Museum sits at the mouth of the Patuxent River in Solomons and covers three subjects: Maryland fossils, life in the Chesapeake Bay, and the area's maritime history. Outside you can visit the screwpile Drum Point Light, the J. C. Lore Oyster House and an otter habitat, and the bugeye Wm. B. Tennison takes the public on cruises. Inside are aquarium tanks with rays, skates and bay fish. Adult admission is $11, and you can stay all day once you enter.
