The St. Mary's County Museum Division is a Southern Maryland county government department that operates four heritage sites: St. Clement's Island Museum, Piney Point Lighthouse Museum and Historic Park, the Old Jail Museum and Leonardtown Visitor Center, and the Drayden African American Schoolhouse. It collects, preserves and interprets artifacts and historic sites illustrating the natural and cultural history of St. Mary's County and the Potomac River. Piney Point Lighthouse Museum, one of its sites, charges $7 for adult admission and $3.50 for children, seniors, military and students.
