Cashmere Museum and Pioneer Village, run by the Chelan County Historical Society, opened in 1959 and houses Native American artifacts, pioneer relics and natural history specimens from the Wenatchee Valley. Its Pioneer Village includes 20 original structures such as a restored Great Northern Railway caboose and a one room schoolhouse, moved to the site and furnished with period pieces. The museum sits on Route 2 between Leavenworth and Wenatchee.
