About

About Central Washington

Central Washington runs along the east side of the Cascade Range, from the Yakima Valley wine country near Prosser north through the Columbia Basin around Moses Lake and Grant County to the Wenatchee Valley and the Bavarian-themed village of Leavenworth. Wenatchee, known locally as the Apple Capital, is the area's largest city, with nearby Cashmere home to the Cashmere Museum and Pioneer Village and the Aplets and Cotlets candy factory. The venues here range from a wine-producing valley and a lake town to an orchard museum and a themed alpine village. Wenatchee Outdoors is a local nonprofit that promotes hiking and cycling trails throughout the valley.
