Chittenango Creek drops 167 feet over 400-million-year-old bedrock here, shaped by glaciers. You can view the falls from the top, walk the winding trail into the gorge to a footbridge below them, and come back up the smaller trail on the far side. The 193-acre park also has picnic pavilions, a playground and fishing. In summer a pay station charges $5 per car and gives no change. The gorge trail closes in winter when it ices over, but the top views stay open.
