Stroll 38 gardens in Rockefeller Park, each built by a different nationality group, with statues of poets, composers and scientists along the way.
Martin Luther King Jr. Dr and East Blvd, Rockefeller Park, Cleveland, OH · Cleveland, OH
Thirty-eight gardens line about 1.5 miles of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East Boulevard in Rockefeller Park, each designed by a cultural or nationality group from Cleveland. The first, a Shakespeare Garden, went in during 1916. Statues and monuments honor writers, composers, scientists and peacemakers rather than soldiers. A full loop on both boulevards is about 3 miles, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water, since restrooms are limited; the Rockefeller Greenhouse at the north end has some. Admission is free and the park closes after sunset.
The closest stops to Cleveland Cultural Gardens, ordered by straight-line distance. A few more like it, plus some different kinds of fun so you can build a full day.
