Cliff Walk

119 Memorial Blvd · Newport, RI

Why you should go…

The Cliff Walk runs 3.5 miles along Newport's eastern shore, from Memorial Boulevard at Easton's Beach to Bailey's Beach. You pass the back lawns of mansions such as The Breakers, Marble House and Rough Point. About two-thirds of the route is easy walking, while parts of the southern half cross rough, rocky shoreline. In 1975 it became a National Recreation Trail, the first in New England.
