About Cuivre River State Park

Cuivre River State Park sits in the Lincoln Hills region of northeastern Missouri, where the landscape shifts from farmland to wooded, rocky terrain. Visitors can hike, backpack, photograph scenery and watch wildlife. Lake Lincoln supports swimming, boating and fishing, and electric motors are the only motors allowed on the water. The park has primitive and modern campsites, an equestrian trail with an overnight campground, and picnic shelters. Spring brings flowering dogwoods, and autumn colors draw many visitors. Wikipedia notes the park covers more than 6,400 acres and includes the Lincoln Hills Natural Area and two designated wild areas.
