Under $25A Victorian mansion turned hands-on wonderland, three-story slide, hair-raising electrostatic ball, and a kid-sized town kids never want to leave.
12580 Rott Rd, Sunset Hills, MO 63127 · Sunset Hills, MO
One of the country's first and largest dedicated sculpture parks, Laumeier spreads roughly 60 large-scale works across 105 acres of woods and meadow in suburban Sunset Hills. The anchor is Alexander Liberman's "The Way," a 65-foot assembly of scarlet steel tanks visible from across the park; trails wind past earthworks, a giant eyeball, and site-specific installations tucked among the trees. Admission is free year-round, open 7 a.m. until half an hour past sunset, with indoor galleries and a shop keeping shorter hours.
