1100 Fort Negley Blvd., Nashville, TN 37203 · Nashville, TN
Fort Negley is a Civil War fortification in South Nashville, built by Union forces after they took control of the city. The park is run by Metro Nashville Parks and includes a visitors center with interactive exhibits, a short video on the fort's construction, and education panels along paved walking paths. Visitors can explore the grounds on a self-guided walk, join scheduled guided tours, or attend living history and nature programs. The historic fort structure at the top of the hill was closed while the park was under construction for its master plan, with reopening expected in the fall. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged.
