209 Bourbon St · New Orleans, LA
Galatoire's has served French Creole cooking on Bourbon Street since Jean Galatoire, an immigrant from the French village of Pardies, founded it in 1905. The mirrored first-floor dining room is the heart of the place, and his descendants have kept it going for five generations. Order classics like shrimp remoulade, souffle potatoes, crabmeat au gratin and fish meuniere. Men wear jackets in the main dining rooms in the evening and all day Sunday, and loaner jackets are available.
