Between West Glacier and St. Mary, Glacier National Park · West Glacier, MT
Going-to-the-Sun Road crosses Glacier National Park for 50 miles between the park's west and east entrances, climbing over the Continental Divide at 6,646-foot Logan Pass. Along the way you pass Lake McDonald, the Garden Wall and Saint Mary Lake, and Jackson Glacier Overlook gives a roadside look at a glacier. Mountain goats and bighorn sheep are often seen near Logan Pass. The drive takes about two hours without stops, and vehicles longer than 21 feet are not allowed on some sections.
