About Golden Gate Hotel & Casino

The Golden Gate Hotel & Casino stands at One Fremont Street, where the Hotel Nevada opened in January 1906, and the Golden Gate casino opened on its ground floor in 1955. It is the oldest and smallest hotel in the Fremont Street Experience, with 122 rooms. Owners Derek and Greg Stevens expanded the casino in 2017, a Circa Sports sportsbook arrived in 2019, and in October 2025 it became the first downtown casino to switch to all-electronic games. Nevada law bars anyone under 21 from gaming.
