180 Thompson Street, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 · North Tonawanda, NY
The Allan Herschell Company built wooden carousels and kiddie rides in this North Tonawanda factory, erected around 1910 to 1915, and the building has been a museum since the 1980s. Admission includes two tokens to ride the big 1916 carousel or the kiddie carousel, and you can see the carving floor and more than ten band organs. The Wurlitzer music roll department runs the only working Wurlitzer perforator left, still making organ rolls. Adult admission is $12, and extra ride tokens are $1.
