Hoh Rain Forest

End of Upper Hoh Rd, off US-101 · Forks, WA

Why you should go…

The Hoh Rain Forest lies on the west side of Olympic National Park, reached by the Upper Hoh Road off Highway 101, under an hour from Forks. Around 140 inches of rain a year feed Sitka spruce and western hemlock, with maples hung thick in club moss. The 0.8 mile Hall of Mosses loop and the 1.2 mile Spruce Nature Trail start near the visitor center, while the Hoh River Trail runs up to 18.5 miles. A 72-site campground sits in the old growth.
