Located in middle Georgia near I-75, this long-running state park centers on a natural artesian spring that Creek Indians valued for generations. Visitors can taste the mineral-rich water at the stone Spring House, which the Civilian Conservation Corps built during the Great Depression. The park also offers wading in Sandy Creek, nature trails, biking to nearby Dauset Trails, and a small seasonal museum covering Creek history, the 1800s resort era, and CCC work. Cottages, yurts, and campsites are available for overnight stays, and the park has a 105-acre lake for boating and fishing.
