Josephine City School is a historic school building in Berryville, Clarke County, Virginia, built around 1882 to serve African-American students. It is a small frame structure with a gable roof. It served as an elementary school until 1930, when it was moved a short distance and used by the nearby Clarke County Training School for home economics and agriculture classes. Later it became storage space and was then converted into housing for elderly residents with low to moderate incomes. The Josephine School Community Museum and Clarke County African-American Cultural Center uses the Josephine School name and presents local African-American history, and it welcomes donations of items for its collection.
