About Sky Meadows State Park

Sky Meadows covers about 1,860 acres of farmland, meadow and forest on the east side of the Blue Ridge, roughly an hour from Washington, D.C. It has 22 miles of hiking trails, bridle and bike trails, and a link to the Appalachian Trail. The historic area around the mid-19th-century Mount Bleak House has a log cabin, ice house and kitchen garden. It is an International Dark Sky Park, and stargazers can use Turner Pond after hours. Parking is $10 per vehicle.
