Its hands-on exhibits cover topics such as health, motion, math, weather, and kids' play areas. Visitors can also catch shows in an immersive dome theater, a planetarium, and an engineering theater, plus science stage demonstrations. The museum runs programs for educators, students, families, and campers, and it offers memberships that include theater show discounts. A limited-time cardboard maze called A-MAZING Detroit opened in May 2026 on the upper level of Science Hall.
