About Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit

MOCAD is a contemporary art museum in Midtown Detroit that does not maintain a permanent collection, so its galleries rotate through new and archived exhibitions. Visitors can also see Mike Kelley's Mobile Homestead, a public artwork that stands as a community space inside a full-scale copy of the artist's childhood house. The museum hosts performances, talks, workshops, and family days, and its café and bar sit at the center of the building. Free admission is offered to some groups, including members and certain pass holders.
