257 Atlantic Ave · Westerly, RI
Misquamicut State Beach is a sandy Atlantic beach on a barrier island in Westerly, opened as a state beach in 1959 after a run of hurricanes. Lifeguards watch the swimming area during the beach season. The pavilion area has restrooms, outdoor showers, food and gift concessions, shade gazebos and a playground. You pay per vehicle to park in the large lot, and the rate is lower for Rhode Island residents and on weekdays.
