Climb 29 steps up an 1840 stone lighthouse for views over three states, then see Stonington's maritime relics inside the keeper's house.

This granite lighthouse and keeper's house have stood at the harbor entrance in Stonington Borough since 1840; the light went dark in 1889 and the building has been a museum since 1925. Exhibits cover the town's seafaring and farming past, including a cannonball and a Congreve rocket from the British attack of 1814 and goods brought from China by local captains. Climb 29 circular steps and a short ladder to the top of the tower to look across Long Island Sound. Adults pay $15, which also covers the Palmer House museum.
