The Newcomb Art Museum sits in the Woldenberg Art Center on Tulane University's campus in Uptown New Orleans. It holds the largest collection of the pottery, embroidery, bookbinding and metalwork made at Newcomb College, a women's college, between 1895 and 1940. The museum also looks after Tulane's art collection, and since 2014 its exhibitions have focused on socially engaged art and community issues. For GPS, use 50 Newcomb Place, not the St. Charles Avenue mailing address, which leads to the far side of campus.
