This grand 1905 hydroelectric station generated power from the falls for a century before reopening as one of Niagara's most striking attractions. Wander the generator hall among original turbines and exciters, then ride a glass elevator 180 feet down to the Tunnel, a 2,200-foot brick-lined tailrace that ends at an open-air observation deck at the base of the gorge, with a river-level view of Horseshoe Falls. After dark, the immersive Currents sound-and-light show transforms the station floor.
