North Bend State Park lies in Ritchie County in north-central West Virginia, near Harrisville. The park takes its name from a tight river loop formed by the North Fork of the Hughes River, which shaped the original boundary on three sides. Visitors can explore mountain hiking trails, watch for wildlife, and fish in the park's streams. Lodging options include cabins, campsites, and a lodge, and the lodge is open at all hours. The park also manages the North Bend Rail Trail, a long hiking and biking corridor, and a newer lake of about 305 acres has been added to the grounds.
