About Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden

The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden covers 130 acres in the city's Adventure District, northeast of downtown, and is home to more than 300 animal species and 12 botanical gardens. Expedition Africa, opened in 2024, is the largest habitat expansion in the zoo's history, with a giraffe barn and a savanna shared by several species. Sanctuary Asia holds the elephant herd and Great EscAPE houses gorillas and chimpanzees. Children two and under get in free but still need a ticket.
