The Pensacola Museum of History, run by the University of West Florida Historic Trust, sits in the Plaza Ferdinand VII area downtown and belongs to the Historic Pensacola Village complex. Its building dates to 1907 and originally served as Pensacola's city hall before the city moved to a new building in 1985. A ticket to the complex covers several museums and guided historic house tours, and the museum currently hosts a Revolutionary War exhibit that shows how Pensacola figured in that conflict.
