This New York state park sits on the northwestern shore of Lake Champlain. Its landscape mixes open meadows with forest and undeveloped natural ground. The large day-use area includes a sheltered sandy beach and picnic facilities. Visitors often boat, fish, and play field games such as volleyball and softball. The park has 60 designated mooring sites in Deep Bay, though mooring lines were not available for the 2026 season. Its trails pass through forest, marsh, and shoreline habitats and are used year-round for school programs, hikes, and cross-country skiing. The park also offers ice fishing access. A nature center run by a Friends group offers programs, with its family programs running on summer weekends.
