About Alice T. Miner Colonial Collection

Founded by Alice T. Miner, a figure in the Colonial Revival movement, this museum opened in 1924 in Chazy on the Adirondack Coast. Its twelve rooms display furniture, textiles, ceramics, books and manuscripts, baskets, and other objects from around the world. Visits are guided, and staff encourage questions about the stories behind each piece. Admission is free, though donations are welcome. A 2026 exhibit marks the museum's centennial and traces the history of commemoration in America.
