About Potomac Mills
Potomac Mills opened on September 19, 1985, in Woodbridge as the first Landmark Mills mall, and Simon Property Group has owned it since 2007. Wikipedia lists about 1.54 million square feet on one level, and Simon calls it the largest outlet mall in Virginia. Bloomingdale's opened its first outlet store here in 2010, and an IKEA stands in its own building beside the mall. Simon announced in 2024 that the food court would become a Dining Pavilion, and the mall marked its 40th anniversary in September 2025.
