Hana Highway (HI-36 and HI-360), Kahului to Hana · Hana, HI
The Road to Hana is the 64.4-mile Hana Highway, Hawaii Routes 36 and 360, linking Kahului with the town of Hana in east Maui. Route 360 packs in about 620 curves and 59 bridges, 46 of them a single lane wide, as it winds through rainforest past waterfalls and plunge pools. Stops along the way include farm stands, botanical gardens and the black sand beach at Waianapanapa State Park, which needs a reservation. The highway is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
