The Island of Hawaiʻi, also called the Big Island, is the largest and youngest of the Hawaiian Islands, with regions including Kona, Kohala, Hilo, Puna and Kaʻū. Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, near the town of Volcano, is home to Kīlauea volcano. On the Kona side, visitors find Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park, and on the Kohala coast, the beach at Hāpuna State Recreation Area.
