About Roosevelt Field

Roosevelt Field is built on the former Roosevelt Field airport, where Charles Lindbergh began his 1927 solo flight across the Atlantic, and the mall takes its name from it. Designed by architect I. M. Pei and opened in 1956, it is the largest mall on Long Island and the second largest in New York State. Simon Property Group owns it, and the anchors include Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, JCPenney, Dick's Sporting Goods and Primark.
